- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Whenever I go in the staff is always very friendly and helpful. They take the time to answer all my questions and make me feel like they care a great deal about helping the animals they have coming in however they canby P'd Off CanadianNovember 26, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Not Impressed. Very pricey and a lot of unnecessary treatments and test. Nothing is ever a simple fix. The vet doesn't even seem to like animals... I like the rest of the staff and feel bad that they are stuck with this guy:( Last year they made me sign a waver because I told them I didn't want to treat the dog for something it didn't have, and was on preventative treament for, "just in case". My dogs have all their shots and are VERY well taken care of (ie indoors all day, fenced in yard to play in, premium food, with lots of love, walks, and play. Even bought a king bed so there was enough room for them). Even still, this guy makes me feel cheap! Recently I took my dog in for a hot spot on his leg. He was due for his shots anyway so I figured "I'll give this clinic one more shot". My dog has never had anything like this before but pyr's have sensitive skin and are prone to dry skin irritation. We heat with a natural gas furnace and its winter... People should know, the second you walk through the door with your dog it cost $67 for a mandatory consultation. I figured the dog needed antibiotics but he is in minimal discomfort. The diagnosis: 1. He is likely allergic to his food (that he has eaten for years, and needs to be on the vet brand hypoallergenic food$$$. (i said no to this and was frowned at...) 2. He requires 10 days of antibiotics ($57) -OK I figured that... 3. The spot need to be wiped with antiseptic twice a day ($14) -OK, that makes sense 4. Because there is no way to know for sure what he is allergic to we need to give him Prednisone from now till the end of summer, every year, forever...(first weeks worth $35) -WTF 5. Because he is on antibiotics I need to come back in a week for his shots that are due (another $67 to walk through the door plus the cost of shots) 6. Lets not forget my other healthy dog (its time to shell out $67 again to walk HER through the door, get her $hots) 7. Don't forget 6 months of large breed advantix for 2 dog$. In the end I paid $195 for the visit, antibiotics, 1 weeks worth of prednisone, and 120ml bottle of antiseptic. That price alone would have been fine, but lets not forget everything he told me I HAD to do: Vet brand dog food, 6 month of allergy meds (every year), and the extra visit. In my opinion hes taking advantage of people who love their pets. Seems more interested in the money than doing whats right for the animal. I wont be doing the followup with him in a week. Someone else will get my business from now on.by Thomas McLellanAugust 12, 2017
